The "Val d'Entraunes" is located in a beautiful unspoilt region of the French Southern Alps.
Although situated in mountains 1050 meters high, here the climate is mild and sunny, thanks to the mediteraneen influence: marvellous blooming spring, beautiful summer, and in early autumn an incredibly blue sky. "Le Prieuré", overlooking the  river Var, is on the sunny side of the mountain.
Within a few kilometers, you can discover several types of nature : high rocky  peaks and wild defiles, mountain meadows, secret forests, impressive red rocks canyons (les Gorges de Daluis).
There are no big towns around here, but small mountain villages, little churches with baroque paintings, shepherd huts, old farms ...
And if you like car excursions, driving 2 hours, farther south and a not so wild, you will find the French Riviera...
 
 

A whole range of sport and leisure equipment  is at your disposal (according to climatic conditions and the avaibility): Tennis, Swimming pool ( solar heated),  volleyball ground, games and television room, table tennis,  babyfoot, board games, library,  playground for children... Restaurant with  bar* and  fire-place area

*During August and July, our restaurant offers you every evening  a varied regional cooking as well as take away meals. The rest of the year, the restaurant is closed, except on booking ( 8 people minimum).
